Business Administration, Member Service Representative (MUST HAVE LIFE/DISABILITY INSURANCE EXPERIENCE)

The candidate chosen will be responsible for two specific areas:

1.Business Admin Desk: The Business Admin Desk performs general Reception duties, greet visitors and personnel to the office, answers the main inbound phone lines, screens and directs callers to the correct destination. Daily responsibilities will also include outbound and inbound mail, email, fax and other administration duties as assigned.


2. Inbound Customer Service for Members and Prospects: The Business Admin Desk acts as a first lever “Call Centre” for past, current and prospective policyholders. The Business Admin Member Service Representative role is the first place where a caller can have their insurance inquiry or request forms answered.


Responsibilities:
• Know basic insurance inquires and requests for forms to be handled quickly, correctly and efficiently.
• Screen all visitors to ensure that they have an appointment and are expected.
• Open and distribute email messages and faxes from the general mailboxes.
• Answer incoming insurance inquires, responds to basic questions or problems
• Basic knowledge of company products and knowledge of admin practices relating to policies and company procedures with regard to life and disability insurance
• Prepare documentation for mailing kits to individuals as requested within 48 hours
• Assist with large projects as requested
• Answer questions regarding beneficiary designations
• Process requests for beneficiary forms
Requirements:• 2 – 3 years of Life/Disability Insurance experience (a blend of corporate administrative VS insurance administration and customer service

• Insurance Call Centre would be very useful

• Positive outgoing attitude and be comfortable and capable using email, Word, mailmerge, import/export of data, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Custom Insurance Data bases

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Great organizational skills
